The Comfort Inn PA Turnpike - I-81 is seeking a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Full-Time Maintenance employee to join our award-winning hotel team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, functionality, cleanliness, and overall appearance of our property while helping provide an excellent guest experience. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, works well independently, and is willing to assist in multiple areas of hotel operations when needed. Schedule Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Must be available for occasional on-call or emergency maintenance situations outside normal working hours when necessary Flexibility during busy seasons, special events, or staffing shortages is highly valued Key Responsibilities Property & Preventative Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel property Complete preventative maintenance inspections and documentation Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and appliance issues Identify maintenance concerns before they become major problems Maintain exterior grounds, parking lot areas, sidewalks, lighting, signage, and landscaping appearance Monitor equipment functionality and report major repair needs promptly Guest Room & Public Area Maintenance Respond quickly and professionally to guest maintenance requests Repair and maintain guest room fixtures, furniture, locks, televisions, PTAC units, and bathroom components Maintain cleanliness and appearance of maintenance work areas and storage spaces Ensure public areas remain safe, clean, and operational Operational Support Assist housekeeping and hotel staff when operational needs arise Move furniture, mattresses, supplies, or equipment as needed Support room inspections and readiness during high occupancy periods Assist with snow removal, salting walkways, and weather-related property upkeep Operate hotel shuttle when required Safety & Compliance Follow all hotel safety procedures and OSHA-related guidelines Properly use tools, ladders, chemicals, and equipment Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude with guests and staff Respond calmly and efficiently during emergencies or urgent situations Help ensure the property remains compliant with brand standards and local safety requirements Qualifications Required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to operate company vehicles safely Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical labor throughout the shift Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in indoor/outdoor environments Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work independently with limited supervision Preferred Previous hotel maintenance, facilities, apartment maintenance, or general maintenance experience Basic knowledge of: Plumbing Electrical systems HVAC systems Drywall and painting Carpentry and minor repairs Experience using maintenance tools and equipment safely Bilingual communication skills are a plus, but not required Ideal Candidate Traits We are looking for someone who is: Self-motivated and proactive Organized and detail-oriented Calm under pressure Team-focused and willing to help wherever needed Professional in appearance and communication Honest, trustworthy, and respectful Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn What We Offer Full-time stable schedule Competitive hourly pay based on experience Supportive team-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth within hotel operations Hands-on experience across multiple departments Employee hotel discounts (if applicable) Additional Notes Background checks may be conducted prior to employment Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of training and probationary period Weekends and holidays are required as part of hotel operations
