Job Title:
Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Summary The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. This role focuses on general maintenance and mechanical tasks and does not require an electrical background. Key Responsibilities Perform routine building maintenance, including basic repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, doors, locks, and fixtures Conduct preventative maintenance on facilities, tools, and equipment Complete minor plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and clearing drains Perform painting, drywall patching, basic carpentry, and general repairs Maintain building exterior and grounds, including light landscaping, snow removal, and trash disposal (as applicable) Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and workspace reconfigurations Monitor building conditions and report larger repair needs or safety concerns Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) Strong mechanical aptitude and general repair skills Ability to operate hand tools and basic power tools safely Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Good communication and customer service skills Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods Experience in commercial, industrial, or office facilities Familiarity with basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support tasks OSHA safety training or similar certifications (preferred but not required) Work Environment Primarily onsite in a facility or building setting May involve indoor and outdoor work Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS
