Maintenance Technician -
Corry, PA Pay:
Up to $25.00 per hour , based on mechanical skills and experience We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing team supporting the operation and maintenance of equipment in a metal stamping facility. This position is responsible for keeping production equipment, facility systems, and machinery operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or PLC systems is highly valued. Candidates with a broad maintenance background and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment may qualify for pay up to $25/hour .
Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance Troubleshoot and work with 3-phase electrical systems Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems Troubleshoot and make adjustments to PLC-controlled equipment Perform general facility maintenance, including: Lighting Plumbing Air and water systems Overhead doors Electrical systems Building and grounds maintenance Adjust, repair, rebuild, monitor, clean, and paint equipment as needed Schedule and coordinate outside maintenance services when necessary Complete OSHA-related inspections of facility and equipment Support maintenance needs based on the production schedule Work with production operators to promote autonomous maintenance and proper equipment care Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area Assist with training and utilizing CO-OP and work-study students Research tools, replacement parts, equipment, and maintenance solutions using online resources Make repairs and improvements to buildings, equipment, and grounds as needed Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Previous maintenance, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical and industrial equipment Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or PLC systems is a plus Additional technical training, certifications, or education is beneficial Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for the majority of the workday Must be able to stoop, kneel, crawl, bend, and work in various positions while performing maintenance Must be capable of lifting and moving materials and equipment associated with the job Material-handling equipment is available for items weighing more than 50 pounds Must be able to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment Corrective lenses and safety glasses must be worn as required Must be comfortable using the internet to research tools, spare parts, equipment, and maintenance solutions
