Facilities Maintenance Coordinator (M-F Dayshift)

Job Description

What You'll Do Coordinate daily facility maintenance activities, including repairs, service requests, inspections, and preventative maintenance. Receive, prioritize, assign, and track maintenance work orders through completion. Schedule and coordinate contractors, vendors, and outside service providers. Monitor vendor performance, quality of work, timelines, and compliance with company requirements. Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for building systems, equipment, and facility assets. Partner with production and other departments to maximize operational efficiency, quality, and equipment uptime while minimizing downtime. Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and operational concerns. Coordinate repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, doors, locks, building systems, and other facility equipment. Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, repairs, warranties, service agreements, and facility assets. Obtain vendor quotes and assist with purchasing maintenance supplies, parts, tools, and services. Support facility projects, renovations, equipment installations, moves, and other operational initiatives. Ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety requirements, company policies, OSHA requirements, and building regulations. Communicate scheduled maintenance, facility updates, service interruptions, and other relevant information to employees and departments. Proactively identify potential problems and take appropriate action to correct issues when possible. Organize and maintain an inventory of spare equipment, parts, and supplies and notify the Maintenance Manager when replacements are needed. Keep maintenance shops and work areas clean and organized in accordance with company policies. Perform other facilities and maintenance-related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of maintenance, mechanical, facilities, or related experience. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and follow work orders through completion. Proactive approach to identifying and addressing facility and equipment issues. Strong understanding of workplace and manufacturing safety practices. Ability to work effectively with maintenance employees, production teams, contractors, vendors, and other departments. Technical Knowledge Candidates should have a working understanding of: Basic hydraulic principles and equipment operation. Basic pneumatic principles and equipment operation. Basic electrical principles and theory of operation. Reading and understanding mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints. Facility and equipment safety requirements. OSHA and applicable government safety regulations. What Success Looks Like In this position, you will help ensure that: Maintenance requests are prioritized, coordinated, and completed efficiently. Preventative maintenance is performed on schedule. Facility and equipment issues are identified before they become larger problems. Vendors and contractors deliver quality work on time. Production experiences minimal disruption and downtime. Facility systems and equipment remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. Maintenance records, inventories, and service documentation remain accurate and up to date. Work areas meet company standards for safety and cleanliness.
