Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing general maintenance, repairs, work order completion, and preventative maintenance across the entire campus. This role also serves as the building custodian, ensuring facilities and grounds remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining maintenance equipment, identifying and reporting safety hazards in compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting overall facility operations. The position requires participation in required training and meetings, a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to compliance and HIPAA standards, effective time management, adaptability, and the ability to foster positive working relationships with residents, staff, and visitors. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Fulltime, 10 days per pay, rotating weekend and holiday coverage
Shift Time:
5:30am - 2:00pm
Training Shift:
8:00am - 4:30pm Essential Functions and Duties Complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance tasks Perform routine repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems Assist with inspections, safety checks, and fire/life safety compliance activities Support equipment moves, minor installations, and facility improvements Maintain accurate documentation of completed tasks Follow all safety protocols and standards Interact professionally with client staff and report issues to the Lead or Manager Participate in on-call rotation as required Perform other duties as assigned Education/Experience/Training High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance or facilities experience preferred. Working knowledge of general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, drawings, and safety instructions. Basic computer skills for work order and maintenance tracking systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively Proactive, positive attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to recognize work requiring licensed or specialized trades and escalate appropriately. License and Certification A valid driver's license is required. At a minimum, applicant must have or be able to obtain OSHA 10 (General Industry) safety certification within the first six (6) months of employment. Travel N/A General Responsibility as Required for Position Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards. Attends department meetings as required. Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certification/licenses, if applicable. Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.
