Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our hotel facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all building systems operate smoothly, creating a welcoming environment for our guests and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced hospitality setting while contributing to the overall excellence of our properties. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facilities equipment using schematics, hand tools, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding and carpentry tasks as needed for repairs or upgrades within the hotel premises. Maintain building interior surfaces through painting and other cosmetic repairs to uphold aesthetic standards. Follow safety protocols and document all maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports. Assist with maintenance painting projects and facilities upkeep to enhance the guest environment. Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs and coordinate large-scale maintenance projects efficiently. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles within the hospitality or residential sectors. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior features. Skilled in reading schematics, using hand tools, electrical work including wiring and troubleshooting electrical equipment repair. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), maintenance operations (MRO), welding, carpentry, and plumbing system maintenance is highly desirable. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
