Maintenance Technician Job Description This role offers an excellent industrial maintenance opportunity with significant room for growth. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-speed and printing machinery, focusing on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive and predictive maintenance. The position requires strong electrical skills, including work with AC and DC controls, motors, drives, and PLCs, as well as the ability to read meters and interpret electrical schematics. Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial equipment, including high-speed machinery and printing machinery. Work with AC and DC electrical controls, motors, and drive systems to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. Use PLC knowledge to check inputs and outputs and assist in diagnosing control system problems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to identify faults and implement repairs. Use meters and multimeters to test circuits, components, and systems safely and accurately. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot photoelectric and proximity sensing devices and ensure proper operation of encoders. Support maintenance and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as part of overall equipment maintenance. Perform electrical work on 480V, 3-phase systems in accordance with safety practices and site procedures. Collaborate closely with other members of the maintenance team to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Document maintenance activities and follow established maintenance schedules and procedures. Maintain personal tools in good working condition and use appropriate safety equipment, including steel-toed boots. Adhere to all safety guidelines while working around paper dust, petroleum-based materials, and high-speed machinery. Essential Skills Industrial maintenance experience, preferably 3+ years in industrial maintenance and electrical work. High school diploma or GED. Technical school education in a related field preferred. Hands-on experience with 480V, 3-phase electrical systems. Familiarity with AC and DC electrical controls and systems. Experience working with AC and DC motors and drive controls. PLC knowledge, including checking inputs and outputs for troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Proficiency in using meters and multimeters for troubleshooting and diagnostics. Experience with troubleshooting and performing preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial equipment. Understanding of photoelectric and proximity sensing devices. Knowledge of the operation and use of encoders. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial environment. Familiarity with Allen-Bradley systems or components. Ability to work safely around 3-phase power and high-speed machinery.

    Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mechanicsburg, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00
  • $30.
00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
