Our Hometown Hearth showroom in Media supports our full-service chimney, fireplace, and hearth operations. We take pride in quality craftsmanship, safety, and maintaining a professional environment for both our customers and our team. Position Overview We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Facilities Technician to help maintain our buildings, grounds, vehicles, tools, and equipment while providing afternoon support for our field and warehouse operations. This is a great position for someone who enjoys fixing things, working independently, and taking ownership of keeping things running. The role includes general building and grounds maintenance, equipment upkeep, fleet management, receiving afternoon deliveries, and making parts or material runs for field technicians as needed. For someone with automotive or mechanical experience, there is an opportunity to take on routine vehicle maintenance and a larger role in managing our company fleet. Key Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Maintain exterior grounds, parking areas, storage areas, and overall property appearance. Identify facility issues and proactively address repairs and maintenance needs. Help manage the company vehicle fleet, including maintenance schedules, inspections, registrations, repairs, and vehicle readiness. Coordinate vehicle service and repairs with outside vendors. Perform routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs when experience and ability allow. Maintain and repair company tools, small engines, and equipment. Receive, inspect, and organize incoming afternoon shipments and deliveries. Provide coverage and support for warehouse operations as needed. Make parts, material, and equipment runs to field technicians when needed. Coordinate outside contractors and service providers for facility repairs when necessary. Maintain basic records for facility, vehicle, and equipment maintenance. Assist with special projects and improvements throughout the property. Qualifications Facilities, property maintenance, construction, automotive, mechanical, or similar hands-on experience preferred. Mechanically inclined and comfortable troubleshooting and making basic repairs. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Automotive maintenance or repair experience is a strong plus. Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and recognize what needs attention. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work indoors and outdoors. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Dependable and willing to pitch in wherever needed. Schedule Part-time - approximately 25 hours per week Monday-Friday Afternoon-focused schedule, generally beginning around 10:00 AM No weekends required Onsite in Media, PA
