is a Wholesale Independent Optical Laboratory located in beautiful downtown Morton, PA. We are a fourth-generation family-owned optical lab. Since that time, we have grown exponentially, now operating out of a three building facility. We are seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing environments and possess a diverse skill set that includes mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and proficiency with assembly. This role is essential for maintaining and improving our production processes, ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely. Schedule - 1st Shift & 2nd Shift available
Training:
Monday to Friday - 8am to 4:30pm Duties Organize and determine repair and maintenance procedures and priorities. Moving and erecting all types of machine tools and equipment for new installations or plant layout changes. Maintenance and repair of milling machinery. Electrical maintenance from fault diagnosis to replacement of: spindle and axis motors, power supplies, drive modules and cards, connectors, proximity switches, etc.
Repairing and troubleshooting:
pneumatics, controllers, relays, motors, transformers, power supplies, etc. Diagnosing and correcting mechanical, electrical and electronic troubles to involve repairs and replacement of monitors, controls, switches, devices, etc. Replacing fitting bearings, bushings, O rings, gears, shafts, etc, using a broad range of hand and machine tools. Calibrations of all production equipment. Skills Extensive experience in an industrial mechanic or maintenance role within a manufacturing facility. Strong understanding of hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage applications. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for troubleshooting purposes. Ability to read schematics and perform analysis to identify issues quickly. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with industrial electrician experience will be highly regarded. The Media/Wawa SEPTA Regional Rail line stops right next to our main office. Must be able to pass a drug test prior to offer letter being given.
