The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving company equipment, machinery, building systems, and facility infrastructure. This position helps keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment problems. Repair or replace worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components. Maintain and repair glass manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, glass cutting equipment, grinders, drills, tempering equipment, autoclave, pumps, motors, conveyors, and related machinery. Assist with installation, setup, adjustment, and relocation of equipment. Inspect equipment regularly for safety, wear, leaks, damage, or potential failures. Maintain maintenance records and document completed repairs and preventative maintenance. Respond to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance requests in a timely manner. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including motors, switches, sensors, controls, and wiring. Perform basic plumbing, compressed-air, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs as needed. Maintain facility systems including lighting, doors, plumbing, ventilation, and other building equipment. Assist with maintaining water-recycling and filtration systems used in production. Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized. Maintain an adequate supply of commonly used maintenance parts and materials. Follow manufacturer instructions, safety procedures, and company policies. Assist outside contractors and service technicians when specialized repairs are required. Make recommendations for equipment improvements and ways to reduce downtime. Support production employees with equipment-related issues. Follow all applicable OSHA, safety, and environmental requirements. Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous maintenance or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment. Basic electrical knowledge preferred. Ability to use common hand and power tools. Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Welding/fabrication experience is a plus. CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, or PLC experience is a plus. Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to safely lift, move, and handle equipment and materials as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions throughout the facility. Ability to lift and move tools, equipment, and materials as required. Ability to work around operating manufacturing equipment, noise, dust, glass, and other industrial conditions. Must use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work Environment This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to machinery, glass, dust, noise, heat, water, electrical equipment, and other industrial conditions. Proper safety procedures and PPE are required at all times.
