A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Full-Time, Monday-Friday; overtime as needed Position Overview We are looking for a hands-on Electromechanical Technician to support maintenance and production operations at our Tyrone manufacturing facility. This is a multi-trade industrial maintenance role . The ideal candidate will have experience across several areas, including mechanical maintenance, electrical work, welding, and plumbing . We are especially interested in technicians who can troubleshoot equipment, perform hands-on repairs, and work safely in a manufacturing environment. Candidates with strong experience in one or two of these areas may also be considered if they demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team. Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of manufacturing and facility equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems . Perform general industrial plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance. Perform welding, fabrication, cutting, and repair work as required. Diagnose equipment problems and determine the appropriate repair or corrective action. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment. Repair and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, bearings, belts, chains, valves, sensors, switches, and other mechanical/electrical components. Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits, wiring, motors, controls, and related equipment. Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Assist with installation, modification, relocation, and improvement of production equipment. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation. Respond to equipment breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize production downtime. Perform welding and fabrication projects involving equipment, structures, guards, brackets, and other plant components. Complete general facility maintenance and repairs, including plumbing and related systems. Document maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and equipment conditions. Work closely with production personnel and other maintenance technicians to identify and resolve equipment issues. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and other required safety practices. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Mechanical maintenance Electrical Welding/fabrication Plumbing Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to use common maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and/or electrical schematics. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Commitment to workplace safety. Willingness to learn additional maintenance skills and trades.
