MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a team responsible for the safe, productive operation of a market leading company's innovative facility. Ensinger processes high performance engineering plastics at our North American headquarters in North Strabane Township. Located in Washington County since 1985, Ensinger has grown year over year. To support our continued growth Ensinger has recently constructed a 65,000 sq. ft. warehousing and shipping facility.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of industrial machinery and facilities. Additionally, the technician will perform inspection and documentation of machinery problems and safety issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Strictly abide by safety procedures, PPE and regulations while performing work 2. Process work orders to conduct preventative maintenance and repairs of facility and equipment ensuring all activities are properly documented 3. Inspect and maintain safety controls to ensure all equipment operates in a safe manor 4. Support production personnel on proper operation and use of equipment 5. Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas, and handbooks. 6. Fabricate, weld and cut with a torch 7. Operate lathe, milling machine and drill press as required 8. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial equipment, including: Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues PLC Ladder logic (ability to program a plus) Solder and build cable assemblies Servo and variable frequency drives 9. Bend and install EMT and heavy wall conduit. 10. Use and understand NEC Electrical Code Book 11. Read micrometers and calipers, 12. Perform minor plumbing with copper or iron pipe 13. Operate powered equipment including, but not limited to cranes, forklifts, work savers, platform lifts and aerial lifts
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be able to perform maintenance tasks safely (lift, twist and work in sitting, squatting, standing and elevated positions) to avoid injuries and accidents 2. Certification in related field and minimum of three years industrial equipment maintenance experience. Equivalent experience to be considered, in lieu of certification. 3. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications used for compiling data and work records. 4. Ability and willingness to work midnight shifts.
