Facilities Maintenance Valley Distributing & Storage is seeking a Maintenance Associate with a good overall knowledge of industrial/commercial maintenance including carpentry, painting, light plumbing, small electrical. Facilities include multiple buildings on three campuses from Wilkes-Barre to Scranton. Valley Distributing is a full-service Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider with over two million square feet of warehousing space. Responsibilities:

Travel between Company locations to perform necessary repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of property, buildings, and grounds. Company provides vehicle and tools, as needed. Assist with miscellaneous facility projects including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, moving equipment and material within or between facilities. Conduct landscaping maintenance including mowing to ensure a clean professional appearance. Snow removal of roadways and building walkways and entrances. Repair and maintenance to industry fixtures including truck dock plates, dock doors, and warehouse racking. Repair and maintenance of facilities including roofs, lighting, and roadways. Respond to after-hours emergencies / on call rotation as required.

Qualifications:

Handle work assignments in a timely and professional manner organizing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Overtime work may be required based on customer and operational needs. Working both indoors and outdoors. Work in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA compliance requirements. Able to lift and move 50 pounds safely. Capable of standing and walking for extended periods. Able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on frequent basis. Reliable transportation and good attendance record. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
