Opportunity:
Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician B skilled at general maintenance with little need for training or direct supervision for most machine and processing equipment. The level of ability falls in between a Tech A, which is highly skilled, and a Tech C which is considered to have entry level maintenance skills. This position is capable of handling most machinery and repair requirements, can perform mid-tier troubleshooting, and has some ability to weld, utilize most tools, meters, etc. Whether you are a current GPG team member looking to grow your career or a professional seeking a rewarding opportunity in agriculture, this position offers the chance to contribute to one of the world's largest carrot and organic vegetable grower, packer, and shippers. Additional Info What you will need: 5 years of experience in a production/processing environment. Must have at minimum an entry level of welding/soldering knowledge and ability. Must be skilled in all manner of machine/equipment operation with an understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic utilization. Skilled at a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment. Ability to remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, and hand/power tools. Able to determine form, texture and wear and tear of most parts with calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. Should have a working knowledge of plumbing and carpentry functions. Able to utilize various hardware/software formats not only for day-to-day operation, but also able to gain an understanding of technology as it pertains to production and processing equipment. Must have a collaborative and team-oriented attitude with an understanding and self- assessment knowledge of when to ask for help and/or direction. Ability to be flexible and operate under stressful situation while keeping a cool head and focus on overall goals and objectives. Must operate in an ethical manner with high integrity at all-times. Able to maintain Grimmway Farms confidential and proprietary information. Must be able to travel occasionally. Remote work is not available for this position. Must be able to read and understand written information in English. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.
