Design, construct, remodel, and repair interior and exterior structures made of wood, drywall, plaster, concrete, brick, etc.2. Design, construct, remodel, repair, and install cabinets, tables, shelves, benches, partitions, flooring, doors, window frames and other types of furniture.3. Study specifications from blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.4. Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical and structural issues at the direction of the Director of Facilities, Security & Transportation and/or Lead Maintenance Technician.5.Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all school facilities.6. Participate in facility renovation, remodeling, and other facility-based projects.7. Respond promptly to maintenance related safety hazards and emergencies.8. Operate drill presses, table saws and other equipment as necessary.9. Maintain accurate logs of maintenance requests, repairs completed, parts used and costs incurred.10. Perform skilled carpentry and painting to maintain school facilities.11. Performs general maintenance and repair of all plumbing systems.12. Assists in general maintenance and repair of all heating systems.13. Reports major repairs needed promptly to the Director of Facilities, Security & Transportation and Lead Maintenance Technician.14. Perform related work as required, such as all forms of building and grounds maintenance.15. Shovels, plows, and or sands walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps as necessary.16. Make minor mechanical repairs to landscaping, snow removal and other types of facility equipment.17. Operate a plow truck, sander, snow blower and other snow removal equipment as necessary.18. Support facilities team as needed during absences, large-scale cleaning, events or emergencies.19. Other related duties as may be assigned by Director of Facilities, Security & Transportation and/or Building Administrator.
