GED Full Job Description Job Summary:
Responsible for making minor mechanical repairs and installations throughout the hospital without on site supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms and elevator problems. Repair minor plumbing problems and unblock drains, Repair beds and other mechanical equipment, Replace light bulbs and batteries as needed and repair and paint doors, walls and ceilings. Assess maintenance problems and determine when additional assistance or direction from the supervisor is necessary. Attend to routine heating and air condition problems through out the hospital. Perform preventative maintenance on hospital facilities equipment. Completes the installation of wall hung boards and assemble minor equipment within a timely manner. On second sift- Answer Engineering department telephones and respond to repair calls. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A High School diploma and a minimum of one year's job-related experience or equivalent is required.
