This position may work regular business hours, shift schedules, or an on-call rotation to address maintenance emergencies, depending on operational needs.
What we are looking for:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Two-year degree in Mechanical Studies preferred 5 years of industrial mechanical experience, including bearings, hydraulics, pumps, and gearboxes Industrial welding and fabrication experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience preferred SAP experience is a plus, but not required Ability to work varying schedules, extended hours, and on-call as operational needs require Ability to work at heights and in hot, noisy, and dusty industrial environments Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team What we offer: Competitive pay starting at $29.06-$36.64/hour, based on experience , with additional levels for continued pay growth Profit share/gain share program Multiple health plan options, wellness program, and gym reimbursement Additional benefits including pet insurance, legal insurance, employer-paid and voluntary life insurance, and more Paid maternity and paternity leave Competitive vacation package, company holidays, and floating holidays Retirement plan with generous employer contributions Tuition reimbursement and opportunities for continued learning and development In this role, you would: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to minimize downtime Respond to equipment breakdowns and partner with Operations to resolve issues efficiently Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions Support assigned mill areas by addressing safety, quality, reliability, and downtime concerns Coordinate daily and planned maintenance activities with Operators, Planners, and other crafts Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and follow-up work requests Assist with developing and improving preventive maintenance programs Support Asset Reliability Process (ARP), planning, scheduling, and Area Management initiatives Clearly communicate equipment issues, repairs, and changes with Operations and Maintenance teams Participate in crew meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities Continue developing technical skills through training and development opportunities Provide maintenance team coverage and support as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders and navigating around industrial equipment Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, push, pull, lift, and carry as required to inspect and maintain equipment Ability to safely lift and carry up to 70 pounds Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to work in industrial environments that may include dust, chemicals, high noise levels, and varying temperatures
