Maintenance Specialist Charleston Creekside Inn | Charleston, SC Join the Charleston Creekside Inn Family Charleston Creekside Inn is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Specialist to join our team and help care for our beautifully renovated waterfront property. Our Maintenance Specialist plays an important role in creating a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience for our guests. From routine preventative maintenance to addressing unexpected repairs, you'll help keep our guest rooms, facilities, grounds, and public spaces looking and operating their best. About the Role The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the property. This position requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and willing to pitch in wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Perform routine repairs and general maintenance, including light bulbs, filters, paint touch-ups, vinyl repairs, plumbing fixtures, and basic kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance according to the property's maintenance calendar. Inspect guest rooms, common areas, equipment, and facilities and report or address maintenance concerns promptly. Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the front entrance, parking areas, walkways, and street-facing areas. Help maintain exterior spaces, including grounds, lighting, signage, and pool areas. Monitor maintenance supplies and inventory, keeping materials organized and using supplies efficiently. Maintain the exterior appearance and curb appeal of the property. Respond promptly and courteously to guest maintenance requests and concerns. Follow established safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions or potential hazards. Help ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and property standards. Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, management, and other departments to support smooth daily operations. Assist with special projects, property improvements, and other duties as assigned by management. What We're Looking For Previous hotel, resort, facility, or property maintenance experience is preferred. Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair practices. A hands-on, can-do attitude and willingness to tackle a variety of maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a well-kept property. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively to unexpected issues. Professional and courteous communication with guests and team members.
