We work alongside our customers to provide innovative solutions to the aerospace, beverage can, automotive, and high-end specialty markets. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible to service and maintain all equipment including but not limited to, powered industrial equipment, mobile equipment, conveyors, furnace combustion systems, plumbing, rotary/holder furnaces, and ventilation equipment. In this role, you will also be responsible for building trades—including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work—as well as mechanical troubleshooting on stationary and mobile equipment. This is a 7 days/week shift position, with 8-hour or 10-hour shift options, out of our Goose Creek, SC facility. This is a fully onsite role. Responsibilities 1. Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment, machinery, and mobile fleet vehicles, including furnaces, conveyors, shredders, and balers, to ensure safe operation and minimize downtime. 2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including motors, wiring, control cabinets, combustion systems, refractory components, and high-temperature equipment. 3. Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical fixtures, drywall, painting, framing, carpentry, and maintenance of dust collection, ventilation, and air filtration systems. 4. Perform welding, fabrication, mechanical assembly, and installation of equipment and components as needed, utilizing blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and technical literature. 5. Support plant startups and shutdowns, equipment installations, facility improvements, and maintenance projects in coordination with the Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Manager, and/or Operations Manager. 6. Operate plant machinery and mobile equipment, including forklifts and wheel loaders, in accordance with established safety procedures and training requirements. 7. Proactively identify equipment deficiencies, potential safety hazards, and maintenance needs; recommend corrective actions and respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize production disruptions. 8. Independently prioritize and manage daily maintenance activities, balancing urgent repairs, preventive maintenance schedules, and ongoing projects to meet operational needs. 9. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, completed work orders, repairs, and parts inventory usage. 10. Follow all company safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and applicable OSHA regulations while maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas and supporting 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives. 11. Collaborate with production, operations, maintenance leadership, and other stakeholders to resolve equipment issues, improve operational efficiency, and support overall plant performance. Experience High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training preferred. 2+ years of hands-on experience in general facilities maintenance/trade profession, commercial property maintenance, or industrial equipment repair is required. Demonstrated capability in basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and painting techniques. Strong diagnostic and technical troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving mechanical equipment issues. Basic computer proficiency preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to enforce quality and safety standards consistently.
Working Conditions:
1. Work in a physically demanding, high-heat, deadline-driven, and production-focused setting. 2. Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, heat, dust, materials from operational area, molten metal, and extreme temperature variations. 3. Regular outside work required with exposure to weather conditions of extreme cold, and extreme heat. 4. Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift, and must be comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, or elevated platforms when required. 5. Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. Climbing stairs and working at varying heights as required. 6. See, hear, talk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity. 7. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas. 8. Travel up to 25% 9. Reliable transportation required.

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
