Maintenance Technician JEM Restaurant Group | Supporting Taco Bell & Pizza Hut Locations Build your career. Keep our restaurants running. Make a difference every day. JEM Restaurant Group is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support our Taco Bell and Pizza Hut locations throughout the Charleston market. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working independently while being part of a team. You'll play an important role in keeping our restaurants safe, functional, and operating at their best. What You'll Do Perform preventive and routine maintenance on restaurant equipment and building systems, including refrigeration, ice makers, grills, heated holding units, and more Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R, and other facility-related issues Troubleshoot equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic skills Complete residential painting and other facility projects as needed Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and repair supplies Utilize CMMS to document and manage maintenance activities Travel between restaurant locations throughout the Charleston market Work independently while communicating effectively with restaurant leadership and the maintenance team What We're Looking For 1+ year of comparable maintenance experience Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems HVAC/R and EPA certification strongly preferred Residential painting experience is a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Knowledge of CMMS systems Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to take ownership of projects and work with minimal direct supervision Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel throughout the Charleston area A Hands-On Role This position requires the ability to: Regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs Stand, squat, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods Safely climb ladders to access rooftop equipment Work in hot conditions when necessary
