Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician specializing in Plastic Injection Molding to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of injection molding equipment and related systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing facilities, demonstrating proficiency in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high production standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure continuous operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical blueprint reading, and electrical diagnostics. Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems by diagnosing issues, replacing components, and ensuring proper function through analysis of schematics. Conduct equipment troubleshooting using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults accurately. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities, schedule work orders, and track equipment history. Execute welding tasks including stick welding when repairing or fabricating machine components. Assist with installation projects involving industrial mechanics, HVAC/R systems, or other facility infrastructure as needed. Support field service operations by providing technical assistance on-site for complex repairs or system upgrades. Read electrical and mechanical schematics to facilitate accurate diagnostics and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage, and electrical maintenance procedures. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability through analysis skills and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a focus on industrial maintenance of injection molding equipment. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting including high voltage and low voltage systems; skilled in using voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics interpretation. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management and asset tracking. Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experienced in troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery. Skilled in welding techniques such as stick welding for repair or fabrication tasks. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, field service operations, and safety protocols related to industrial environments. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation for effective communication with team members and external vendors. Experience with industrial electrician practices including electrical diagnostics and equipment repair. Capable of performing equipment troubleshooting involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
