Job Description

Hotel Maintenance Technician - Job Description We are seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the hotel's facilities, equipment, and guest rooms are maintained in excellent condition. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and networking systems, along with the ability to assist the Front Desk team when needed to provide excellent guest service. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Repairs Perform basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting. Conduct minor mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance. Maintain and repair air conditioning (AC) and HVAC systems. Troubleshoot TV, internet, and Wi-Fi connectivity issues in guest rooms. Repair and maintain electronic door locks, key card systems, and room hardware. Replace light bulbs, switches, outlets, and other basic electrical components. Address minor plumbing issues, including leaks, clogged drains, and faulty fixtures. Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance storage areas in an organized condition. Remove trash and debris from maintenance areas and designated locations. Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards and procedures. Guest Service & Front Desk Support Assist Front Desk staff with guest room issues, including TV, Wi-Fi, AC, lock, and key card problems. Respond quickly to guest requests and service calls. Help deliver guest items such as luggage carts, extra bedding, cribs, rollaway beds, towels, or amenities when needed. Assist with room inspections to ensure rooms are guest-ready. Support Front Desk operations during busy periods by helping with guest concerns and property-related inquiries. Coordinate with housekeeping and Front Desk teams to ensure guest satisfaction. Escort guests to rooms when assistance is required and explain room features when necessary. Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented attitude toward guests and coworkers. Requirements Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building maintenance systems. Experience troubleshooting TVs, internet/Wi-Fi connectivity, and electronic locks. Ability to perform minor plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts if required. Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred but not required.
