The YMCA is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Rapid City location to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining full compliance with YMCA and OSHA safety policies and practices, creating a secure environment for all. Your resourceful management skills will be essential in ensuring the proper maintenance and usage of equipment, supplies, and materials, minimizing replacement costs, and maximizing efficiency. Completing assigned projects to the satisfaction of the Facilities Director and maintaining accurate documentation will be a key aspect of your role. Your versatile skills in working on various systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, basic carpentry, and wall/floor finishes, will contribute to the overall well-being of our facilities. In addition to your technical abilities, you should possess a basic working knowledge of pool systems to aid in the maintenance of our aquatics equipment. Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner and delivering acceptable results will be part of your routine, as well as promptly reporting items requiring professional technician attention to the Facilities Director. Executing routine preventative maintenance to prevent unnecessary repairs and downtime will be crucial in maintaining the longevity of our facilities. Your adaptability will extend to performing all snow removal duties, including operating a UTV with a plow, shoveling, and salt spreading. As a versatile team member, you may be required to perform custodial duties as needed or directed by the Facilities Director. Building positive relationships with volunteers, members, and staff through friendliness and courtesy will contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the YMCA.
