Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC components. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical components using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment. Conduct residential painting, carpentry, welding, and other general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the property's appearance and safety standards. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions. Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex repairs or installations while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset history, and inventory levels. Respond promptly to guest requests or emergencies related to facilities issues with professionalism and customer service excellence. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality, manufacturing, or residential settings. Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, PLC programming basics, and troubleshooting electrical circuits. Mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, plumbing repairs, welding techniques, and residential painting skills. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking. Ability to read technical schematics and use tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Supervising experience leading maintenance teams or projects is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and teamwork. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
