Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician supports manufacturing and warehouse operations by performing a wide range of basic maintenance tasks. This role focuses on assisting with new project installations, performing mechanical and plumbing repairs, and using a preventive maintenance computer system to help ensure equipment reliability and safe, efficient plant operations. Responsibilities Assist with new project installations to support manufacturing and warehouse operations. Perform basic pipefitting tasks, including installation and repair of piping systems. Carry out plumbing installation and repair activities as needed. Handle small mechanical installations and adjustments on equipment and systems. Complete basic repairs and routine maintenance on plant machinery and infrastructure. Use a preventive maintenance computer system to log work, track tasks, and support scheduled maintenance activities. Work safely and effectively with a variety of hand tools and power tools. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Install, maintain, and repair pumps and related piping systems. Work with electrical conduit and multi meters to support basic electrical troubleshooting within scope of role. Support overall reliability and uptime of equipment in a chemical plant and warehouse environment. Essential Skills Hands-on troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Experience with pipefitting, including installation and repair of piping systems. Ability to perform plumbing installation and repair tasks. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and use of a preventive maintenance computer system. Proficiency in working with hand tools and power tools in an industrial environment. Experience with pumps, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Ability to work with conduit and multi meters for basic electrical troubleshooting. Understanding of piping systems, including PVC and related materials. Capability to perform repairs on industrial equipment and infrastructure. Experience working in environments involving pneumatics and related equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial setting. Previous experience in pipefitting, including PVC piping and pump systems. Experience in plumbing installation in manufacturing, warehouse, or plant environments. Comfort working in a chemical plant setting with non-climate controlled conditions. Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a production environment. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of La Vergne, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $70720.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
