Join us and take your career to the next level Kalmar USA, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Intermodal in Memphis, TN. This person will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on Kalmar and third-party equipment, ensuring peak performance through inspections and routine upkeep. This person will be expected to provide exceptional customer service with detailed reports, provide technical advice, and make a real impact while maintaining a safe work environment.
Compensation Data Base Salary:
$28 - $36 per hour Eligible for Annual Bonus What are your key responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair :
Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Electronics diagnosis & repair of intermodal cargo handling equipment (Kalmar and other brands); regular preventative maintenance, as scheduled; evaluate and assist with warranty claims;
Customer Communication :
Communicate with customers regarding the diagnosis and repair problems experienced in the field; conduct product training for the customer; maintain high level of customer satisfaction
Documentation :
complete detailed documentation (reports of labor, work orders, warranty documentation, inspection reports and maintenance logs); ability to read and interpret trouble-shooting guides, technical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics
Collaboration :
work with Product Engineering to develop solutions for operational problems in the field; communicate customer expectations, requirements and requests to the Sales, Product Engineering and Parts teams; mentor/train junior maintenance staff, when required What we offer you: "Green business is good business - it's not just a slogan; we're investing in fossil-free steel and real change." Qualifications :
Technical diploma/certificate preferred; high school diploma or GED required; must have valid driver's license
Technical Expertise :
Minimum 15 years' experience maintaining and/or repairing heavy industrial equipment with exposure to: Electrical Systems (AD/DC circuits, motors, relays) Hydraulics and Pneumatics Mechanical Systems (Powertrain, boom/lift assemblies, bearings, brakes) PLC Controlled Systems (preferred, not required) Preference will be given Veterans and candidates with maintenance/repair experience on the following brands of heavy equipment: Kalmar, Taylor, MiJack and/or Remprex Must be Comfortable working in the field and at elevated heights
