POSITION OVERVIEW
The Door Builder is responsible for assembling custom door units according to customer orders while maintaining quality, accuracy, and safety standards. The Door Builder reads and interprets work orders, measures and assembles door components, operates a variety of hand and power tools, and prepares finished products for shipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and a commitment to producing high-quality products while working collaboratively with the production team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but not are limited to, the following: To read, write, and communicate in a professional manner; To perform regular maintenance and housekeeping tasks around work area and machines; To operate circular saws, miter saws, table saws, skill saws, and other saws, pneumatic staple and nail guns, and other hand and power tools necessary to complete assigned tasks; To bore holes using the appropriate machinery; To verify dimensions and appearance of component parts for adherence to specifications before assembly; To assemble fabricated parts to make door units To read, interpret, and assemble correctly the intended door unit from an order ticket; To notify supervisor of all defective materials and damage as soon as it occurs; To adhere to all company and safety policies, including wearing all required PPE; To wear proper work attire, including close-toed shoes, safety vests, and safety glasses at all times while moving about the warehouse; To report any company and safety policy violations, work-related injuries or incidents, and workplace discrimination to supervisor or Human Resources Department; To locate and stock materials necessary to complete assigned tasks; To prepare door units for shipping; To work normal operating hours, including overtime when necessary; and To perform any other duties required to complete assigned tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS.

Less than a high school education, or six (6) months of related training or experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Skills . Ability to read, write, and communicate professionals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and interpret a measuring tape. Ability to use reason and logic to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations . All applicants must have a valid U.S. Driver's License. Physical Demands . Employees are regularly required to do the following for: Employees are regularly required to: stand, walk, use hand and power tools, lift and move materials between 5 and 50 lbs., and work and communicate effectively with other employees.
Employees are occasionally required to:
climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or bend at the waist, lift and move materials up to 75 lbs with assistance when necessary.
