Full Job Description Schedule:
2nd and 3rd Shift The job of Maintenance Technician exists for the purpose of the installation, repair, preventative maintenance, and upkeep of the machinery used in order to support the production process according to USDA, SSOP, and HACCP standards and specification. The job of Maintenance Technician is under the direct supervision of the Facility Maintenance Manager. Knowledge and training on machinery, mechanical and electrical systems, drawings and schematics, and general mechanical and electrical ability are required for this job. Knowledge and specialized training of ammonia refrigeration systems are a plus for this job. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician consist of but not limited to the following: Complete daily work orders. Follow all OSHA standards and company safety policies. Responsible for installation, repair, and preventative maintenance for all mechanical systems. This includes managing inventory and usage of parts, chemicals, and tools used to maintain the mechanical systems in the facility. Assists in maintaining and monitoring the Refrigeration system keeping the system free of leaks and making equipment updates as necessary. Assists in maintaining and monitoring the Air system which includes all piping, compressor, and sprinklers. Assists in maintaining and monitoring the hydraulic system which includes all piping, hoses, pumps, etc. Assists in maintaining and monitoring the Microwave equipment. This job requires the person to be walking and on their feet 80%-100% of the time. Other duties as required by the supervisor. This person must be available to perform all functions within the Maintenance department.
