Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role requires a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance, with leadership qualities to oversee maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in ensuring safety, reliability, and productivity across the plant. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and technical manuals. Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management. Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards during all maintenance activities. Lead or supervise maintenance team members during shift operations or specific projects. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance procedures, repairs, and inspections. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. Support facilities maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general building upkeep. Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally. Skills Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong electrical experience combined with mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting complex systems. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management. Skilled in welding techniques for repairs and fabrication tasks. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and facilities maintenance best practices. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on safety, efficiency, and team development. Pay:
$17.00 - $30.00 per hour
