Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced hospitality setting, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This is a Maintenance Engineer position not Chief Engineer, advancement opportunities to Chief Engineer Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel's standards of cleanliness and safety. Maintain electrical systems by replacing faulty wiring, switches, outlets, and electrical equipment using hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters. Repair plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water supply lines to prevent leaks or failures. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building automation systems to optimize energy efficiency and system performance. Lead small maintenance projects or oversee external contractors when specialized work such as HVAC system repair or complex electrical work is required. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, schematics used, and parts inventory for effective operations management. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to guest requests related to room or facility maintenance issues. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in building interior maintenance and facilities equipment upkeep. Knowledge of pools PTAC troubleshooting Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair procedures Familiarity with HVAC system repair, HVAC controls, and building climate regulation technologies. Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with specialized diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. bi- lingual helpful Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
