Overview Home Sweet Gnome is a fast-growing pool service company serving the Hill Country community. We take pride in delivering high-quality service with a friendly, professional touch. We're seeking a Pool Technician who enjoys working outdoors, takes initiative, and provides great customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, and cleaning swimming pools to ensure safety, cleanliness, and optimal functioning for our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of pool systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Prior service technician experience is preferred, along with familiarity with hand tools and power tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about pool maintenance and equipment repair to grow their skills. Responsibilities Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces to maintain cleanliness and appearance. Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks such as water testing, chemical balancing, and filter inspections to ensure safe swimming conditions. Identify mechanical issues or malfunctions in pool systems and equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorination systems) and execute timely repairs to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed service logs of all work performed and communicate effectively with clients regarding service needs or issues. Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure personal safety and that of clients. Requirements Valid driver's license with clean driving record for travel between job sites. Company vehicle is provided for route only, must have reliable transportation to get to work. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various pool systems and equipment. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance work. Strong understanding of pool chemistry, cleaning techniques, and filtration systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issues. Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, bending, crouching, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. This role is vital in ensuring our clients' pools are safe, clean, and functioning efficiently.
