Mechanical & Robotics Maintenance Technician II Job Description This role supports the operations maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging systems, distribution equipment, and pneumatic systems within a high-volume distribution facility. You will apply your mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills to keep complex conveyor and robotics systems running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, including conveyors and robotics-related systems. Perform mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to quickly identify root causes and restore equipment to service. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics to perform accurate installations and repairs. Conduct conveyor maintenance, including inspection, adjustment, and replacement of components to minimize downtime. Use fabrication and assembly skills to repair or modify mechanical components, brackets, guards, and related parts as needed. Operate and use testing equipment to verify proper operation of systems and confirm successful repairs. Collaborate with a team of technicians on shift to prioritize work orders, share technical knowledge, and support continuous operations. Follow established safety procedures when working around heavy machinery and powered equipment. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support maintenance planning and reliability improvements. Essential Skills Strong mechanical maintenance experience with material handling and conveyor systems. Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics. Fabrication skills, including cutting, fitting, and repairing metal components. Assembly experience with mechanical and electrical components. Experience working with pneumatics in an industrial or distribution environment. Ability to safely operate and interpret results from testing equipment.. Comfort working around heavy machinery in a fast-paced distribution setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a welder, including basic welding and metal repair work. Experience as a machine operator in an industrial or distribution environment. Familiarity with automated packaging and distribution systems. Ability to work effectively as part of a team of technicians on the same shift. Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Willingness to support varying maintenance tasks as operational needs change. Why Work Here? The role involves physical work in and around industrial equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety procedures and proper use of tools and testing equipment Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
