Job Description

General Maintenance Technician HHS is seeking a dependable, hands-on General Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance and repair of our corporate headquarters. This position is ideal for someone with strong handyman skills and working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a safe, functional, and professional work environment. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires a self-starter who can work independently, prioritize maintenance requests, and perform a variety of general building maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the corporate office, including drywall repair, painting, ceiling tiles, doors, locks, furniture assembly, and general building upkeep. Assist with the maintenance and basic troubleshooting of commercial HVAC systems, including changing filters, preventative maintenance, identifying issues, and coordinating larger repairs when necessary. Complete basic plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains, repairing leaks, replacing faucets, toilets, and other fixtures. Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, ballasts, and bulbs while following all safety procedures. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns before they become larger issues. Perform routine building inspections to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for repairs that require specialized services. Assist with office moves, furniture installation, and workspace setup as needed. Maintain maintenance supplies, equipment, and tools. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned. Experience & Requirements 3+ years of commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or handyman experience. Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Experience performing general plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry repairs. Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with employees and vendors. Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance requests. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
