Maintenance Technician Penmac Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring production equipment remains in optimal working condition.

Shift:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00

PM Pay:

$25.00 per hour Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
  • Complete both emergency repairs during production operations and scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
  • Follow all safety requirements and procedures, including:
    o Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    o Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
    o Arc Flash Safety
    o Hot Work Procedures
    o Confined Space Procedures
  • Respond to and assist with equipment breakdowns across all departments.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on facility and production equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including:
    o Bearings
    o Gears
    o Sprockets
    o Hydraulics
    o Pneumatic systems
    o Pumps
  • Demonstrate basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including:
    o Using a voltmeter
    o Checking and replacing fuses
    o Diagnosing faulty motor starters, relays, and motors
    o Safely troubleshooting AC and DC electrical circuits
  • Assist maintenance crews with equipment rebuilds, plant shutdowns, and new equipment installations.
  • Support fabrication projects and production improvement initiatives.
  • Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed. MIG and TIG welding experience is preferred. Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to read and follow safety procedures and maintenance instructions.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
