Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, including welding machines, overhead cranes, CNC machinery, and industrial electrical systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient production operations. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failures. Troubleshoot and maintain welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, resistance, and robotic welding systems. Inspect, maintain, and repair overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, including machining centers, lathes, and related automation equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Install, troubleshoot, and repair motors, VFDs, sensors, relays, PLC-controlled equipment, and electrical control panels. Perform equipment alignments, calibrations, and machine adjustments to maintain production quality. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Work closely with production personnel to resolve equipment issues quickly and minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company safety policies. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of:
Welding machines and welding support equipment Overhead cranes and hoists CNC machining equipment Industrial electrical systems (120V-480V) PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar preferred) Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and clamp meters. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Industrial Maintenance certification or equivalent technical certification. Experience with robotic automation systems. Overhead crane inspection or maintenance experience. PLC programming experience is a plus. Welding or fabrication experience is beneficial. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Comfortable working at heights and around industrial machinery. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
