Job Description

Double Oak Erosion is looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The right candidate must be comfortable working in a constantly changing environment and taking ownership of repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for our fleet and construction equipment. Our equipment includes fleet trucks, skid steers, vacuum trucks, tractors, pumps, and other construction equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter changes, inspections, greasing, and other scheduled services. Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet trucks, skid steers, vacuum trucks, tractors, pumps, motors, and other construction equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the most effective repair solution. Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures and unexpected downtime. Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track repairs, maintenance activities, parts, and service schedules.. Communicate clearly with management and other mechanics regarding equipment condition and required repairs. Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance practices. Preferred Experience Welding experience is preferred , including the ability to perform basic welding and repairs on both steel and aluminum . Qualifications Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic, diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or similar position. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to prioritize repairs based on equipment needs and downtime. Dependable, responsible, and willing to take ownership of assigned work. Ability to work in a constantly changing environment. Valid driver's license. Must be willing to work outdoors and around heavy equipment in varying conditions. We are looking for someone who knows their way around equipment, can diagnose problems without being told exactly what to look for, and takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
