Pool Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pool Maintenance Specialist to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and optimal functioning of swimming pools. In this role, you will perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs to keep pools in pristine condition. Responsibilities Conduct regular pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain water clarity and hygiene. Perform routine pool water testing and adjust chemical levels to ensure safe and balanced water quality. Inspect pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators; troubleshoot issues and perform repairs or coordinate repairs with service vendors. Use hand tools and power tools to replace worn or broken parts on pool systems and equipment. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes. Identify potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly and take corrective actions to prevent accidents or damage. Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures, including draining pools, winterizing equipment, and preparing pools for peak usage periods. Experience Prior experience as a service technician or in a maintenance role involving mechanical systems is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of pool maintenance procedures, including chemical balancing, cleaning techniques, and equipment repair. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery used in pool upkeep is essential. Strong understanding of mechanical principles related to pumps, filters, heating systems, and related equipment. Ability to work independently with attention to detail while following safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate.
