Performs installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems using one or more trade skills (e.g., electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry)- Prepares and maintains records of completed maintenance repair work
- Maintains current knowledge of all applicable procedures and safety measures
Pay:
$21- 24/hour
Shift:
Afternoon Responsibilities:
Ability to troubleshoot in Extrusion, Press, and Bag room Departments Learn and understand SAP functions for processing work orders, ordering parts, etc. Knowledge of electrical circuits PLC understanding preferred Breakdown maintenance- Repair of equipment after failure. Practice of 5 Why and Error Proofing Lean principles Corrective maintenance
- Improvement of equipment, in addition to repair. Predictive maintenance
- Daily or weekly inspections, cleaning, adjusting, lubricating and replacement.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending and lifting of items up to 40 pounds as needed Work with and around various solvents, inks, corn starch and cleaning chemicals Access all work areas to include frequent climbing on stands, ladders and stairs Sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, climb and reach overhead as needed Stand on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts Utilize fine manipulation skills (including but not limited to the use of a utility knife, scissors, tape measure, typing, writing, and hand tools) Must be able to distinguish colors for product quality purposes Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management at all levels Must be able to follow all safety procedures Must recognize that job requirements will change as processes evolve Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job in a safe manner.
