We specialize exclusively in multifamily staffing , connecting experienced Make-Ready Technicians with apartment communities and property management companies looking for qualified maintenance talent. Previous apartment make-ready or multifamily maintenance experience is required for this position. At this time, The Phoenix Staffing is only able to hire and onboard candidates with prior apartment industry experience. If you have hands-on experience turning apartment homes and take pride in getting units ready for new residents, The Phoenix Staffing can help connect you with opportunities throughout the multifamily industry. What You'll Do As a Make-Ready Technician, you'll help prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing make-ready work, repairs, touch-ups, and final punch items. Depending on the property and assignment, responsibilities may include: Complete apartment make-readies and unit turns according to community standards and deadlines Inspect vacant units and identify repairs, replacements, and punch-list items needed before move-in Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, traps, fixtures, and minor leaks Perform basic electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and bulbs Complete minor carpentry, drywall, texture, caulking, and hardware repairs Patch and touch up interior paint as needed Assist with appliance installation, replacement, and basic troubleshooting Complete flooring touch-ups and other cosmetic repairs Perform final punch inspections and correct outstanding items before move-in Maintain accurate work orders and communicate unit status to the maintenance and office teams Keep tools, supplies, vacant units, and work areas clean and organized Follow community safety procedures and proper use of PPE Assist the maintenance team with additional property needs as assigned What We're Looking For Previous apartment make-ready or multifamily maintenance experience is
REQUIRED
Hands-on experience completing apartment unit turns and punch-list work Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, caulking, carpentry, and general repairs Ability to identify and complete make-ready items efficiently with strong attention to detail Comfortable using common hand tools and power tools required for apartment maintenance Ability to follow make-ready checklists, work orders, and community standards Able to prioritize multiple vacant units and meet scheduled move-in deadlines Dependable, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team Professional communication skills when working with property staff, residents, and other team members Familiarity with Fair Housing practices and apartment community procedures Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply Reliable transportation to assigned apartment communities Valid driver's license may be required for certain assignments Please note: The Phoenix Staffing is currently hiring experienced apartment industry professionals only. Candidates must have previous apartment make-ready or multifamily maintenance experience to be considered for onboarding.
