Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Dallas- Fort Worth, TX area during the day shift, mid shift, and night shift.

Required Experience:
- Must have a valid
Driver's License Preferred Experience:
- Roadway maintenance experience
- CDL license a plus
Bilingual:
English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required- Work at varied heights
- MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
- Guardrail and Sign installation experience
- Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools Clean driving record is essential Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand/power tools :
- Perform routine roadway maintenance and repairs.
- Repair and maintain guardrail, fencing, signs, and roadway appurtenances.
- Remove debris, litter, and hazards from highways and rights-of-way.
- Operate tractors, mowers, skid steers, loaders, dump trucks, and other maintenance equipment.
- Perform vegetation management, including mowing, trimming, and weed control.
- Assist with erosion control, drainage maintenance, and minor concrete and asphalt repairs.
- Install and maintain traffic control devices in accordance with company and DOT standards.
- Respond to emergency incidents, weather events, and roadway hazards as required.
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and traffic control procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a professional attitude.
