Job Description
Overview A Maintenance Technician ensures the operational efficiency and safety of facilities and machinery by performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing technical issues. They handle work orders, document repairs, and manage inventory, requiring technical proficiency with hand/power tools and a strong focus on compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Ensures the successful ongoing operations and maintenance of facilities.
- Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance work at production and support facilities.
- Ensures the daily work status is captured and next day's schedule is reviewed and communicated with appropriate personnel.
- May communicate with service providers to ensure their availability to meet the schedule needs.
- Ensures work plans are completed in a safe and timely manner. Qualifications
- Intermediate level, typically 3-5 years of experience.
- Provides technical/functional and/or administrative support.
- General working knowledge of specific systems, terminology and procedures used within the department.
- Performs routine tasks.
- Able to solve problems and make basic decisions.
- High School Diploma or GED required. College Degree or Technical training preferred.
- Valid US Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
- Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices
- Must live within 45 miles of Kenedy, TX
