Job Description

Job description: Maintenance Technician - Duties & Responsibilities The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and without interruption. This role focuses on maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues before they escalate, and supporting the overall reliability of the facility. Our primary production equipment includes a variety of industrial saws, making experience with saw maintenance and repair especially valuable. Primary Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all operational equipment and facility infrastructure Perform routine and corrective maintenance on industrial saws (primary equipment) Support process setup and equipment start‑up as needed Coordinate with other departments to schedule downtime and preventive maintenance Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks according to established programs Act as a liaison with external vendors when required Complete additional duties as assigned Job RequirementsExperience & Technical Skills Minimum 2 years of industrial mechanic experience Hands‑on troubleshooting experience with industrial saws is strongly preferred Technically proficient with CNC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and multi‑processing equipment Experience working with and around heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts) Knowledge of electrical systems and basic electrical work Proficiency with basic hand tools Experience in steel fabrication, basic carpentry, and general facility repairs Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safe work practices Soft Skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Effective interpersonal and organizational skills Detail‑oriented with a results‑driven mindset Work Expectations Ability to work flexible hours, including extended shifts or Saturdays, based on operational needs Physical Demands Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and maneuver around machinery Ability to lift 50+ pounds Comfortable working at heights
