Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support to an individual in need of assistance every afternoon 2p-6p in zip code 77484. This role involves working with clients in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and group homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care and a strong understanding of care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Your primary goal will be to enhance the quality of life for those you assist by providing companionship, support, and personal care. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and client preferences. Help clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by fostering independence and encouraging participation in daily activities. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to ensure clients' needs are met effectively. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols. Document daily activities and any changes in client condition or behavior as required. Requirements Previous experience in home care, memory care, assisted living, or group home settings is preferred. Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility needs. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to specific dietary requirements. Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual client needs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory.
