In this energetic position, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in a variety of settings, including commercial, residential, and specialty projects. Duties Measure, cut, and fabricate glass panels according to project specifications using hand tools and power tools. Install glass in windows, doors, storefronts, partitions, and custom fixtures with attention to detail and safety standards. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute installation plans. Use caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture installation techniques to secure glass components effectively. Perform heavy lifting and maneuver large glass panels safely while maintaining proper handling procedures. Conduct site assessments to ensure proper preparation for installation and coordinate with other trades such as carpentry or remodeling teams. Qualifications Proven experience in glass installation or related construction fields such as remodeling or carpentry. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and fabrication equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or on scaffolding when required. Knowledge of caulking techniques, fixture installation, door hanging, cabinetry setup, and construction painting is highly desirable. Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project changes or challenges.
