Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Handyman to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks across our facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure operate smoothly, creating a safe and comfortable environment for staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your mechanical skills, technical knowledge, and customer service abilities to make a tangible impact every day. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment. Perform repairs and troubleshooting on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and building interior fixtures. Use hand tools, schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify issues and execute repairs efficiently. Maintain facilities equipment including painting, carpentry, welding, and general handyman tasks to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality. Assist with installation projects such as building interior modifications or equipment upgrades following technical specifications. Support maintenance of facilities infrastructure by performing plumbing system repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system servicing. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants and ensuring their needs are met professionally. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO). Proficiency in electrical work including electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as HVAC system troubleshooting and repair. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively for carpentry, welding, painting, and other handyman tasks. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical schematics, building interior maintenance, and facilities maintenance practices. Experience with residential painting and general building interior upkeep to enhance facility appearance. Excellent communication skills in English coupled with leadership qualities to coordinate tasks efficiently within a team environment.
