Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems within our self storage facility. This position only requires 10-15 hours a week. This job requires mechanical and some technical knowledge, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities maintenance and possess a passion for quality assurance.
Duties:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Lock Checks
  • Since this is a smart facility controlled by an app, sometimes lock issues occur where the controller will need power cycling, replacing, or a battery change.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and technical issues with guidance from our Facility Quality Team .
  • Uploading photographs
  • These photos are normally vacant units, auction units, walk throughs, or facility damages.
  • Perform Facility Walk Through Inspections and notate any issues: Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner via our ticketing software.
  • Hauling
  • removing any trash or items left around the facility.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Basic technical knowledge is required
  • Experience with facilities maintenance is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
