Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Door Technician to join our team in Webster, TX. This position is responsible for independently installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial door systems and operators. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of commercial or industrial door technician experience , strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience working safely in industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial door systems, including: Overhead doors Sectional doors High-speed doors Pressure-resistant doors Passage doors Diagnose and repair door operators, motors, controls, sensors, and safety devices. Perform routine preventative maintenance and equipment inspections. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and schematics. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently. Ensure all work complies with company and customer safety standards. Train and mentor entry-level technicians as needed. Complete service documentation and reports accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience as a commercial or industrial door technician required. Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial door operators, automated controls, and related systems. Electrical troubleshooting experience required. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Valid driver's license required.
Current certifications for:
Aerial/Boom Lift Aerial/Scissor Lift Forklift Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card when required. Ability to pass required drug/alcohol testing and background screenings. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality workmanship. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturer certifications. Experience with high-speed or specialty door systems. OSHA safety training and certifications. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to work at elevated heights and climb ladders. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift. Ability to safely work around industrial equipment and machinery.
