You'll perform routine maintenance and repairs, assist experienced technicians with more complex projects, and develop your knowledge of building systems, tools, and preventive maintenance while receiving guidance and support from your team. Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefits What You'll Do Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, repairing minor plumbing issues, replacing or repairing fixtures, painting, and completing basic property repairs. Assist experienced maintenance technicians and property leadership with more complex repairs, installations, and maintenance projects. Complete assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of service. Conduct routine inspections of equipment, building systems, facilities, and grounds to identify maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with preventive maintenance to help keep equipment and building systems operating safely and efficiently. Help maintain the overall appearance and condition of the property, including basic cleaning, groundskeeping, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance tasks as needed. Assist with snow and ice removal to maintain safe walkways, entrances, and parking areas when applicable. Assist with the maintenance of pools, spas, or other property amenities (depending on the property). Learn proper troubleshooting and repair techniques for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, fixtures, carpentry, and other building systems. Use common hand and power tools safely and properly while following established maintenance procedures. Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and supplies in a clean, safe, and Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, guests, clients, families, visitors, vendors, supervisors, and fellow associates. What Makes You Successful High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 0-1 years of maintenance, facilities, construction, property operations, or related experience. Entry-level candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Basic knowledge of maintenance principles and repair techniques. Ability to safely and effectively use common hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Willingness to learn new maintenance skills and take on new responsibilities. Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and complete assigned tasks with appropriate supervision. Ability to work effectively in a role that requires a higher level of supervision and guidance while developing maintenance skills and experience. Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate positively and professionally with others. Dependable, organized, and able to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Willingness to work some weekends and holidays as necessary and assist with occasional emergency maintenance needs. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent walking and standing throughout the property, along with the ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, climb, and perform movements associated with maintenance and repair work. The Maintenance Technician must be able to use proper body mechanics and lifting principles to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move items weighing 50 pounds or more.
