Job Description
Position Summary Star Children's Dress Company is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our Distribution Center team in Amelia Court House, Virginia. This position is responsible for maintaining our facility, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while responding to maintenance needs throughout the facility. Essential Responsibilities Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment and facility systems. Repair or replace lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, shelving, and other building components. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas. Assist with painting, carpentry, and general facility improvements. Perform seasonal outdoor maintenance, including grounds upkeep as needed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from warehouse staff. Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when necessary. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous maintenance, facilities, or building maintenance experience preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general carpentry repairs. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and working both indoors and outdoors. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
