Maintenance Technician Full-Time Direct Hire Ashland, VA Compensation:
$35/hr
Shift:
1st Shift ( Monday-Thursday 6a-4p)
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of production equipment, machinery, and facility systems within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on maintenance opportunity for a skilled technician with a strong electrical troubleshooting background and experience maintaining industrial production equipment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production. Maintenance Technician:
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping production equipment and facility systems operating safely and reliably. You'll work closely with operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to identify equipment issues, perform repairs, complete preventive maintenance, and support equipment improvements.
Maintenance Technician Duties Include:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, machinery, and facility systems Diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical problems with production and support equipment Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment Troubleshoot and support PLCs, automation, and control systems Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability Assist with the installation, modification, and upgrade of plant machinery and support equipment Safely maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and fabricate components as needed Use blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation to diagnose and repair equipment Utilize CMMS systems to document maintenance issues and completed work Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment issues Purchase and track maintenance repair parts and supplies as needed Work with operators and supervisors to identify and resolve maintenance and production issues Follow OSHA requirements, plant safety procedures, and safe work practices Support a clean, organized, and hazard-free maintenance environment Perform other work-related duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
Several years of experience in manufacturing and/or facility maintenance required Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair experience Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems and production equipment PLC and/or industrial controls experience preferred Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and manufacturing maintenance repair Experience with CMMS systems Ability to safely operate power tools, hand tools, gauges, machine shop equipment, and material handling equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety requirements Microsoft Office and Outlook experience Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Reliable work history and strong work ethic Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
